First partitivity workshop in November 2017 in Venice

The first PARTE workshop was organized by Giuliana Giusti on 15-16 November 2017 at the University Ca’ Foscari in Venice. The invited speakers were Anne Carlier and Urtzi Etxeberria (CNRS, Bayonne). The theme of the workshop was partitive determiners and partitive Case. Among the selected speakers there were several members of the PARTE network. The interest of this workshop was that partitivity was discussed from various perspectives (diachronic, synchronic, acquisition), for different languages, languages types and dialects (French, Italian, Basque, Turkic, Finnish, Greek, Catalan, German, Estonian) and for different types of partitivity (partitive determiners, partitive case marking, partitive pronouns, pseudo-partitives …

Call for papers PARTE workshop Seville, June 2020

PARTE is organizing the workshop Variation in the Expression of Partitivity and Partitive Expressions, which will take place as part of the conference CILG 2020 (the 14th International Conference of General Linguistics), 24-26 June, Seville, Spain. Second partitivity workshop in Pavia on 2 September 2019

On 2 September our second partitivity workshop will be organized in Pavia, by PARTE member Silvia Luraghi. The title of the workshop is “Partitive cases, pronouns and determiners: diachrony and variation”. The keynote speakers are Michael Daniel (National Research University Higher School of Economics, Moscow) and Riho Grünthal (University of Helsinki). The workshop will take place in the Collegio Cardano. Most of the PARTE members were part of the scientific committee and/or will present their recent research at the workshop. Second network meeting in Zurich on 25 and 26 January 2019

The second PARTE network meeting took place on 25 and 26 January 2019 at the University of Zurich. This meeting was organized by Elisabeth Stark, Elvira Glaser, Tabea Ihsane and Jan Davatz. The network meeting consisted of two parts: practical workshops and scientific presentations. The practical workshops on 25 January were a follow-up of the first network meeting, which took place in May 2018 in Amsterdam, and in which the setting up of a partitivity database was discussed. First network meeting in Amsterdam on 25-26 May 2018

On 25 and 26 May 2018 the first PARTE network meeting took place at the Meertens Institute and at the University of Amsterdam. The meeting was organized by PARTE members Leonie Cornips and Petra Sleeman. During the first day of the meeting protocols and questionnaires for the analysis and elicitation of partitive elements were presented and discussed. Giuliana Giusti gave an ACLC lecture on protocols for partitive determiners at the University of Amsterdam. The first part of the second day was devoted to the setting up of a partitivity database.
